The best gift made to a Ford Taunus was for sure the body of this model, built by O.S.I. in Turin, Italy, but mainly sold in Germany where this car actually is for sale.
We’ve published many of these, probably more than any other blog aroud, just because we are fascinated by the lines of this car which are an eye candy; the only shadow above this model was the V6 engine which should have been more powerful than it actually is.
This particular car is said to be under restoration 9 years ago, and that they finished the job 2 weeks ago and got a “grade 1” appraisal report. Now we don’t know what “grade 1” means but sure is that the car looks nice but at the same time is way far to be perfect; most of the interiors are clearly original and the engine bay quite clean, wheels are nice but not original. Whatever, it seems priced right. Find it for sale at €29,800 (today $35,000) here in Herrenberg, Germany.
indeed, the OSI TS is a beautiful car. if you want more performance and don’t mind about originality, you can swap a Jaguar V6 engine (from the X-Type) on it. same Ford origin, same cylinder layout, more performance (I think even a 2.1-litre unit would do better). and a nice exhaust note.

They refer to a Different OSI that was under restoration, not this car. Thus one was used for reference during the resto of car number 2. Thus one looks like driver quality with some paint/body issues…
