Real or experiment: 1968 Lancia Fulvia Spider by Zagato

ScreenShot001

There is a big question here: is this car a true Zagato spider or just a cut car which is useless now?

Indeed Zagato built just an handful of these cars and how it often happens for these coachbuild specials, it’s difficult to know the exact number of the specimen produced: to be honest, before seeing this car we didn’t know that Zagato made also a spider version of his famous Fulvia. The main question is: if this car was a true spider, even if reduced to these conditions, why the rear lid is missing?

Moreover, the car is reduced to a skeleton so only the chassis number can help the potential buyer to know the truth. Interiors are missing as well as the engine and transmission, but if this car is the real thing it’s worth the effort of a total restoration. Find it for sale at $5,000 here in Milwaukee, WI.
