Unlike other classic cars, for the Spider Alfa Romeo first series, the rule applies that the latest model produced is the one that is worth more.
In our case the latest model is also the most powerful, i.e. the one equipped with the DOHC engine with a displacement of 1750 cc, universally appreciated above all for its potential and usability, perhaps the best Alfa Romeo engine produced since the post-war period, together with the Montreal eight-cylinder one. Not surprisingly, even with regard to the GTV, the 1750 has higher prices than the 2000.
Here we have a car that has certainly been parked for a long time, no less than twenty years, in a place that is perhaps not very dry but at least indoors. In any case, it is a car that needs to be totally restored: it is easy to assume rusty floors and various other interventions necessary to repair the rust. The good thing, however, is that it is a complete car at an attractive price. Find it for sale at $8,500 here in Eugene, OR.
