The smiling face is, of course, the nose of this 1500S without headlights, front grill and bumper. And that’s because the car is in the early stage of a deep restoration.
What is clear is that the restoration of this car wasn’t carried out by professionals but, probably, by the owner itself who tried to do, at least for the body, most of the work in his garage. This is not necessarily a bad thing as long as the car is still disassembled like this car is, we hope, on the other side, that nothing has been lost during the restoration process.
The seller says that the car has a new windscreen, a new soft top and a refurbished engine and gearbox: be careful because the OSCA engines are not easy at all to rebuild and to tune: that’s a matter of experts. Anyhow, this car is still a nice alternative to the unreachable Giulietta Spider. Find it for sale at £8,750 (today $12,500) here in Maia, Portugal.
