Italian delivery: 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce

This GT Veloce was originally delivered to its first owner in Italy but then a former soldier stationed in Italy (hence the “AFI” plate) bought the car and took it with him in the U.S.A.

That’s not at all the first time we read a story like this, unfortunately just like many stories like this, there is the car that, after a restoration attempt, is almost disassembled and needs quite a lot of work to be brought to its past glory. At least this is not a rust bucket.

Of course there is rust which ust be fixed but when you are managing a fifty years old Alfa you know that is business as usual; his car was born green and that’s a great news unfortunately balanced by a bad news: the engine comes from a 2.0 litre Alfa so it’s not a type 536: not impossible to find but that means ore money and more time to do the job. Find it for sale at $14,900 here in Hampstead, NH.
