Old Kentucky Home: 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint

The home of this 2600 Sprint wasn’t for sure an house but a barn where it slept for many years just to come to using this poor, but salvageable, conditions.

The good about this 2600 is that the car is very complete: clearly the car was used but not abused and the first place where you can check it is the interior which show a very clean and correct dashboard, perfectly matching with the original specifications; everything is in its place and nothing seems irreversibly compromised.

The bad is the the body needs a lot metal work as it’s usual for these Alfa (and, basically, for every unrestored 50 yeas old car); moreover the seller says that the engine is stuck: this would not be a great deal as you should have rebuilt it anyway, on the other side it seems that the engine too has its original equipment (Solex carburetors and ancillaries) and, why not, also a spare rear axle with disc brakes in case you fear the original rear drums, so there is enough “meat” to work on. Find it for sale here in Crestwood, KY, with bidding at $2,100 and reserve not met.
