Saving private F: 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce

And here it is in Italy…

April 15

And yet it’s still possible to find some Veloce to restore, and this car proofs that.

ScreenShot002The seller says that this car (chassis 1495F-11613), despite of its red paint – or what remains of it – was born black with red interiors: a beautiful and rare color combo. Moreover this should be a matching numbers car: not so important for other Alfas but mandatory on a Veloce model.

ScreenShot003Another very important items are the carburetors, specific for this car (they don’t have a choke system), but they will come with the car and the various parts which are not assembled but that are said to be there. The engine itself is said to turn freely but it doesn’t matter a lot: this car need to be nut and bolt restored, but definitely worth it. Find it for sale here in Florham Park, NJ, with bidding at $18,000 and reserve not met.
