On this Mustang, born in Springtime Yellow and then repainted in red, there is a lot of work to do, however it is a GT390 Fastback and this is not a negligible detail.
As already mentioned, the work to be done to bring it back to factory conditions is not even negligible, and this work concerns all areas of the car, starting with the transmission and gearbox which, unfortunately, have been “downgraded” in the past: the original engine was replaced with a “small” 289 ci, however the worst thing, in our opinion, is the replacement of the 4-speed gearbox with an automatic one.
On the bright side, this car comes with factory power steering, power disc brakes, factory Ford 9″ rear end and Deluxe Interior, all optional. The wheels are from model year 68 but still look good and overall look a very dry car. Probably the starting price is a bit high given the need to buy a new engine and gearbox, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be negotiated. Find it for sale at $37,500 here in Anaheim, CA.
