At the time it was a very expensive car and in fact it did not have a great commercial success: the seller says that only 416 were produced (for both series produced), a low number even for sales in 1957. However, quality costs. and perhaps the perceived one was not enough to convince the audience of buyers that it was already small in itself: probably at the same price you could buy a Mercedes 300 SL, a Ferrari or a Maserati which, regardless of the constructive quality, had a strength of the brand superior to BMW.

This 503 in particular is said to have been born in a burgundy color and therefore has been repainted in the blue you see now, has a sunroof (optional) and appears to have little or no rust. The original engine is present but completely disassembled but, on the other hand, there are four heads that can be used.
