Riverside ivory: 1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupé

All classic car enthusiasts would like to own a car with as clean a past as possible and, last but not least, owned by as few owners as possible.

Clearly with the passing of the years all this becomes more and more difficult and yet we still live in an era in which, in rare cases, it is possible to put the pigs on a car which, despite being 50 or 60 years of age, was owned by two or, in very rare cases, only one owner: generally the good thing about this is that the car that has had a “quiet” life is well maintained, has had few modifications and often still has all its parts as in origin.

This Porsche Sc specimen should belong to the latter category: the seller says that the current owner has owned it since 1973 and that before then the car was sold new in the Netherlands. Of course, a 50-year possession is not in itself the guarantee that all parts of the car, including the paintwork, are still original, all this is to dictate a matching number for both the engine and the gearbox. The interior has clearly been renewed and the overall appearance of the car is excellent. Find it for sale at $125,000 here in Costa Mesa, CA.
