The golden rule: 1959 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Cabriolet

The sticker on the rear bumper is clear: “Who has the gold makes the rule”. Well, you need gold to rebuild this car but it’s a “Lowlight” KG Cabrio and it’s definitely worth it.

Ineed the fist series of the Karmann Ghia has a sleeker profile on the front than the cars built from 1960: we don’t know why they changed it but, whatever the reason, it was a bad move for sure. Proof is that this early cars are now the most sought of the family.

Thisis a typial barn find with a lot of dust on the body but, unlike a proper barn find this car needs a lot of work: the seller says that the floors must be replaced as well as the heather channel but otherwise the car s straight and original. We add that the color combo of this car is beautiful and that’s why it can’t be for sale for much longer. Find it for sale at $16,800 here in Denver, CO.
