This early 356 is said to be an original german car sold by the Stuttgart dealer Hahn, then it was exported to U.S.A. for 50 years. Since five years though the car is again in Europe.
The seller says that the floors are solid and still the original equipment, all panels are matching as well as the transmission type 519, unfortunately the engine is a later 1600 even though the seller says that it is aestetichally similar to a ’53 unit.
The transmission is said to have already been restored as well as the instruments and the door handles, now the car body has been brought to bare metal so no surprises for the next owner: few of these are still around in these conditions and even if without a matching number engine this is a very interesting project. Find it for sale at €109,950 (today $130,500) here in Linschoten, Netherlands.
