Yes, sometimes patina has a face which most classic cars enthusiasts know well, on this car it has the colors and the shades of this ultra rare aluminium coachbuilt Fiat.
The three decades in the first half of the last century, the 30s, 40s and 50s were the golden age of coachbuilders who built a lot of masterpieces, sometimes pretty unknown today to most people. This car is one of those: built on the newly released Fiat 1400, it was the personal interpretation of one of the italian master coachbuilders, Pietro Frua.
It’s the first time we see one of these cars as actually we’ve seen it only thanks to our literature: this car has been stored many decades in an enclosed space so its conditions are quite good for a 64 years old, unrestored car. The good is that this car requires a little effort to source the mechanical parts; outside and inside it looks pretty original, complete and unmolested and it has the original black plate too. So it should be not a difficult job to bring back this car to its past glory. Find it for sale at €51,000 (today $56,300) here in Montecatini Terme, Italy.
