Once again there is not any indication about the build year of this Flaminia Touring, so for us that year is 1965. It is a car which has been under restoration until someone couldn’t move forward, for health issues or some other blocking reason: the fact is that the car needs some more work to… Read More Pray for gray: 1965 Lancia Flaminia Coupé 3C by Touring
The seller says that this is a rare opportunity to put your hands on a bus like this at a low price: Actually we believe him. It is a 1956 Bus imported from Germany (of course it is, maybe he means that it was not born for the U.S. market). He also says that it… Read More Bargain with hand brake: 1956 VW Bus T1 Kombi
Too good to be true, that’s the first thing you think at when you see this ad. This car was featured in early 2013 on eBay: the last time we checked it the bids reached $55K the day before the auction end, so we don’t know how and if this car has been sold back… Read More What’s the truth? 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider
The most clear feature of an early 911 also known as “Zero Series” is the veneer on the dashboard: this car belongs to that breed. The ebay auctioneer is in the UK but clearly this is an US car and we also have understood where the car has been photographed. Apart from these useless details,… Read More Woodie inside: 1965 Porsche 911

These were the sportiest cars produced in France during the sixties, along with their direct competitor, the Alpine A110. The DKW F89L had the precursor layout to the contemporary van: front-wheel drive, transverse engine, flat floor, and multi-configurable seating. It also has a face which looks like the “Grimacing Face” emoticon on your Whatsapp app. The funny thing is that the name “Schnellaster” should mean something like “Speedster”. Differently from its direct competitor, the VW bus,… Read More Emoticon on wheels: 1954 DKW F89 L “Schnellaster”
It’s clear that the seller is aware of the rarity of this car, on the other hand he doesn’t know much more than that. Indeed he claims that the body/chassis was made by “Autotelaio”: unfortunately “Autotelaio” is an italian word which means “chassis”. Actually this coupé was one of the Fiat special cars made by… Read More Chassis by Chassis: 1961 Fiat 1500S Coupé by Viotti
The Borgward Isabella was a good selling hit in the US, probably due to its dimensions mated to the popular german technology and reliability. This car was a relic of that happy period. The seller calls it “Little Isabella” and says that he has no time or money to restore it so it’s now time… Read More German with american shoes: 1957 Borgward Isabella TS Coupé
