Rare bird: 1949 Fiat 1100B Cabriolet by Farina

It’s nice to see cars like this coming up for sale: until a few years ago there were so many but now it seems that they have almost disappeared from the market.

We are clearly talking about very special models produced in very few specimens for which we have survived a few, very few. As far as we know this may be the only specimen of its kind and, although it was not so, we are pretty sure that those left can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

The photos featured in the ad are clearly scanned from the originals made with a film camera, and judging by the cars in the background these photos look like they were taken in the late 90’s and early 2000’s when the restoration is probably finished. There are no photos of the engine compartment, trunk or underbody but we have no doubt that the car has been fully restored. Find it for sale here in Modena, Italy.
