Barely 1,100: 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce

The seller of this Giulia Spider Veloce (one of the barely 1,100 ever made) says that he got it from the owner who had been sitting for a long time.

He says that this car is very rare and in fact it is, as the number mentioned above tells us; this is the cutting edge version of the Giulia / Giulietta Spider family: it is the most powerful ever made (112 hp DIN) and the safest, as it is equipped with disc brakes on the front axle.

Conditions: the car is obviously to be restored but it does not seem to be very bad. The body looks solid enough, the engine looks right and does not look like it has ever been pulled out of the car. We do not expect the car to be very complete, but it is clear that the main parts are there: even the carburettors seem to be the DCOE 2 typical of this model (and very expensive). There is also the intake manifold (which seems to belong to a Giulietta Veloce as it has a short “neck”) and the correct air filter. Obviously, before taking the step, check that the engine is the type 121, it makes a lot of difference. Find it for sale at $37,500 (o.b.o.) here in Orange, CA.
