For the umpteenth time we are faced with a car that is very rarely sold, and is also unknown to most.
This car was actually an idea born from Opel which, in a very similar version, presented it at the 1969 Frankfurt Motor Show under the name “Style CD”: the prototype met with great success but Opel’s commercial policies did not allowed its production. In 1970 the Frua coachworks then took over the project, whose rights were then acquired by Erich Bitter.
The body of this car is therefore a job by Frua (the similarity with the Maserati Ghibli is evident, although the latter was produced by the Ghia) but the engine is a GM with a displacement of 5.4 liters (327 ci) coupled to a three-speed Hydramatic transmission. About 400 were produced, non-certified sources claim that there are still around 200 and this is the number 58. The seller does not say much about the car except that it has been regularly maintained and that the dashboard must be fixed, if anyway you are curious to see it better the seller says he is willing to send more photos to those who are really interested. Find it for sale at €65,000 (today $74,000) here in Wien, Austria.
