Fading lines: 1969 Francis Lombardi Grand Prix


This is not the first time that we publish one of these specials based on the Fiat 850 chassis and engine, however it’s the first time we see one preserved like this one.


Indeed the seller doesn’t say much about the car but that it is a complete car: we’d say that it’s even more than complete: it seems as original as when it run out of the factory almost fifty years ago.


The orange paint is faded but it still doesn’t look bad: we can’t spot blisters or big scratches on it even though the photos don’t portrait the rear end. We can barely see the interiors but even thhese look original: it is basically a car that we wouldn’t restore but we’d join it as is, maybe after some cares on the engine and bakes. Find it for sale at €8,000 (today $9,000) here in Brugherio, Italy.
