Wired: 1959 Fiat 1200 TV Trasformabile

Although the seller of this 1200 TV Trasformabile says that the car is from 1960, this model was actually produced up to 1959 when it was replaced by the 1200 Spider built by Pininfarina.

The 1200 TV Trasormabile is a less valuable car than its predecessor, the 1100 TV which had a lot of flamboyant details, but still it’s a rare and cute car: this particular one has, instead of the steel rims, a set of four-bolt Borrani wheels which are not bad at all and actually fit well this model.

The ad has few words about the car, so what we can see is a quite solid car which had for sure some incorrect modification in the past: mostly that’s about the interiors which have been reupholstered with an incorrect vinyl and a later steering wheel which doens’t fit at all in that cockpit. Both bumpers and chrome trims are with the car and that’s good, we’d curious to see how the engine bay ad the undercarriage are but, unfortunately, there are only three photos. Find it for sale at €17,000 (today $18,600) here in Montélimar, France.

  1. The price was good…

Hence Leboncoin takes off the adds that are really interesting…i suspect there are a few cars collectors in the shareholders/management of the company.
