Rare bird: 1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint by Zagato

This car is a rare bird indeed as very few were produced (105 units) and many were destroyed during the oil crisis of the early seventies: a 2.6 liter engine was actually a big displacement for the european market in those years.

So it’s very rare to find one in restorable conditions and even more if the car is solid and complete like this one seems to be: it’s not a rust bucket like other 2600Z seen for sale so far and it looks correct too.

Interiors are complete (at least they seem not to miss anything) as much as the body which seems to have all the correct parts in place, the undercarriage seems to have superficial rust but no holes can be seen. The engine bay looks correct too and the only missing part is the air filter assembly. Not bad at all. Find it for sale here in Bayonne, NJ, with bidding at $27,000 and reserve not met.
