This rare 1949 VW bug is said to have been restored 25 years ago but, watching the photos, it seems finished no more than 25 days ago. Moreover, this car is painted in deep black, a proper color for a Bug.
Interiors are simply perfect: the seller is knowledgeable on old bugs and he states that, apart from the igniton switch (!!!) every part is correct, including the square weave wool cloth. He says that he never saw the clock on this model year, but it seems correct however.
The seller says also that he was said that the engine is matching numbers: we suppose that it wouldn’t be difficult to ask Volkswagen about this. Said so, every part of the engine seems correct and properly detailed. Almost nothing to criticise on this early bug, which is a dream for the Bug nuts. Find it for sale at $49,000 here in Washington state.
