It’s all there: 1969 Siata Spring

ScreenShot020

The Siata Spring was built from 1967 to 1970 by Siata which, in that period, was entering in its sunset boulevard. Actually this car was built after a proper market research which told Siata to build a tiny spider for young clients and, at last, Siata built around 3,000 units. Not bad for such particular car.

This particular car is clearly a barn find which, says the seller, comes with all its parts. The engine is a Fiat 850 c.c. unit which can push this car up to 120 km/h (75 m.p.h.). It’s a rock solid engine which is easy to rebuild as well.

This car is in need of a full restoration but, although it seems a mess, it should not expensive to restore as long as every original part comes with the car. Once restored, this car could amaze you much more than you could expect: it’s not what we call “a beautiful car” but it will turn heads anyway. Find it for sale at $1,500 o.b.o. here in Gurnee, IL.
