Northern black: 1967 BMW 2000 CS

Let’s face it: fans of the German brand have seen, in the last 5-6 years, the values of many models soar, and probably the series that has seen the most grow and its value is the E9.

The series we are talking about includes the “CS” and “CSL” models: ten years ago you brought home a beautiful 3.0 CSi for $ 35k, now it takes three times that amount. However, one model has remained out of this inflation, which is what we show here: it is true that we are talking about a four-cylinder, but it certainly has no less fascination than its bigger sisters.

There are several for sale, but this one struck us for the combination of colors: it is certainly the first 2000 CS that we see painted in black with red interior even if we do not know if this is the color in which it was born: we we suppose so but we have no proof. The car was sold new in sweden and after three changes of ownership (during which it was restored in 1984) it has been imported to Norway and has been used with care ever since. It is not perfect: the engine compartment is original (perhaps too much) and there are no photos of the underbody, but the overall appearance and interior are in its favor. Find it for sale at NOK 249,000 (today $29,000) here in Ski, Norway.
