54 years ownership: 1962 Maserati 3500 GTi by Touring

It is amazing how, after years of recovering abandoned and hidden classic cars, those who have good prospectors at their disposal often manage to pull the rabbit out of the hat.

The seller who offers this 3500 GTi is certainly not new to these companies, and this time he has found a 3500 GTi with 54 years of uninterrupted possession, probably parked in a shed for at least 20 years (very optimistically) where it has lost some of its luster.

The aluminum bodywork has the typical signs of aging of this material: it is healthy, with no apparent signs of bumps, but the paint has partially come off. The situation is different for the steel components: surely there will be something to replace. The interiors are not bad at all, considering that they should still be the original ones, and the engine compartment in a correct and complete aspect. There is a lot to do but a car like this, when complete, is gold. Find it for sale at $139,500 here in Astoria, NY.
