These cars are very rare, and even more rarely appear on the market in “barn find” conditions such as this one, parked in a barn since 1990.
We are talking about a Tatra T87, built in the Czech Republic with a bodywork designed by the great Paul Jaray, made with lines and materials that winked at the technical solutions used in the aeronautical industry of that era. This car was powered by a rear-mounted 2.9-liter air-cooled 90-degree overhead cam V8 engine that produced 85 horsepower and could drive the car at nearly 100 mph (160 km / h).
As we said, the car has been parked for a long time now (in 1990 I was already riding my motocross bike, and 30 years have already passed …) but it is solid, with little rust and the biggest problem is the interior which need to be reupholstered. The rear wheels skirts are there too and the paint is original. Find it for sale for $100,000 here in Uusimaa, Finland. Tanks to David for this tip!
