Rising gold/3: 1966 Fiat 1500 Coupè by Vignale

v2

No, let’s not tell lies: in this case “gold” is not in the raising phase, even though it is quite stable.

v4

As many of you have been able to verify, the last Californian auctions of August have given some very precise indications: the very beautiful specimens – even of models not particularly rare – sprout excellent quotations while the others remain still, or even fall.

v1

Probably even the auction houses have to review their parameters which, even before the auction, seemed very optimistic. Back to the car you see here, this is certainly a very rare car, built by Vignale on the basis of the Fiat 1500 and painted in a gold color that was very much in vogue at the end of the 60s. We agree that it does not seem particularly beautiful, but always remember that cars must be seen in person, the photos are very deceptive. The state of the car looks excellent, It still hasoriginal plates and papers, and the price is affordable: if you don’t know what to do with your extra money, this is the answer. Find it for sale at €22,500 (today $25,000) here in Porto Mantovano, Italy.
