How long has it been since you saw the last Cisitalia for sale? Ok this is the “2nd generation” Cisitalia but, anyway, many months have passed since the last time we saw one for sale.
These cars was not entirely built by Cisitalia: the founder’s son, Carlo Dusio, kept on building cars but starting from Fiat chassis like this spider which is built on he Fiat 850. Not exotic as a starting point but for sure quite cheap and reiable: the body was indeed designed upon Carlo’s specifications which also wanted the Abarth touch to make the car faster.
This particular car looks very nice: it has the yellow headlights proper of the France of the sixties and seventies but the car looks an italian delivered one as the instruments are italian. There is no description of the car but the photos are enough: the only question is about the engine: is it the original one? Find it for sale at €48,000 (today $56,500) here in Castelculier, France.
The Coupé, also bodied by Allemano, was much more beautiful, with more elegant lines and proportions. One of the few remaining was an admired entrant at this year Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

Yep, the coupé is probably the most elegant little care ever built. I was about to buy one from Argentina but the seller did not want to come down from North Pole. BTW even to me it seems the same red spider.
