This car is said to have been a witness of many battles fought around the tracks all over Europe during the fist half of the sixties.
That’s because this 3500 GT, born a s a fuel injected car, was bought by the Serenissima team, owned by count Volpi di Misurata who was a well known name in the business: he became one of the toughest competitor of Enzo Ferrari up to the point that he was forced to build his own cars as Ferrari did not sell his car anymore: indeed cars like the Ferrari 250 GT “Breadvan” belonged to his team.
This particular car was bought by Serenissima to carry pilots and staff around the track; it was born black, probably with the same interior colors which now has, and its engine was fed by a Lucas fuel injection. Of course the cars wasn’t born with the huge wire wheel you can see now but with a set of Borrani steel rims: the car is complete but there is still a lot of work to do to bring back this car to its past glory but it is definitely worth it.
