Dirt and gray: 1960 Lancia Flaminia Coupé by Pininfarina

This is one of the Flaminia Coupé by Pininfarina which have dodged the same destiny of many others which have been scrapped during the last 30 years.

Of course that happened as this model has not the same sleek, streamlined lines of its cousin made by Touring, but still it’s a typical example of how well Lancia used to build cars until the mid seventies. This particular car is clearly a project but it has basically everything  to start with.

Of course the best part of this car are the interiors which basically looks untouched: it’s hard to believe the the cloth is recoverable but you never know: today there are products that can do miracles. Everything is there, including the original steering wheeland an hanging mouse dressed as a pirate. The body looks dirty, tired but not rotten: of course the lower area of the door has to be patched but that’s business as usual on these cars. Find it for sale at €9,000 (today $9,600) here in Mezzano Inferiore, Italy.

  1. this is my favourite car ever. even though the Zagato Super Sport version is more beautiful, the 1960s Ferraris and Jaguars are quicker, I think the Pininfarina’s take on the Flaminia coupe is the car I’d really like to have. I’m already saving money to buy one and make a restomod of it, but I promise it will keep the class and grace of the original Flaminia :)

Of course if you want to have a reliable car from the ’60 you shall improve it, but the most important thing is, as you told it, to not distort the original concept. Good luck for your quest.
