Acid paint job: 1961 Chevrolet Corvette “Fuelie”

ScreenShot011

Really, the paint job on this car really catches us. Although such paint job could seem a sacrilege, we must admit that it has been realized with a clear project in mind. It doesn’t seem improvised: a very good hand did such job, unfortunately we don’t know when. We could bet on a late ’70’s pattern.

The car, on the other side, looks like it needs a no mercy restoration. The seller says that it was parked in 1984 under a semisheltered building and never driven since. He also says that it’s straight and that the front end doesn’t seem to have had any collision so far. The engine bay looks complete and the precious fuel injection unit is still there and looks good.

We can’t see the seats but the interiors look original and not abused: just old and tired. There is also a 8mm cassette player on the passenger side. Whatever the work to do on this car is, we would do everything to preserve its paint. Find it for sale at $27,000 here in Sioux Falls, SD.
