SWB project: 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

We have always wondered why most European cars were sold new in California, and perhaps one of the answers is that the morphology of the terrain is the one most similar to the Italian one in the rest of the USA.

Consequently, a nimble little car, even one with not as much horsepower as a Giulietta Spider, would fare better there than on an endless straight Oklahoma interstate, where a muscle car would do its best. So here is yet another Giulietta Spider, in this case a short wheelbase, which has been partially restored and awaits its savior to be completed.

The seller says that the car belonged to an automotive engineer (in very good hands, therefore) who has already started the restoration by finishing the metal work in a professional way: now, we cannot testify how the latter was done but, assuming it was done right, that would be great news. This would in fact mean that half of the hassle is over and only the funniest part would have to be done; The seller says the interior, engine, and probably everything else of the car is there, albeit scattered around in the boxes. Find it for sale at $24,000 here in San Louis Obispo, CA.
