Few Mangusta were produced – about 400 – and obviously a lot less survive: this is a representative of those survived, unknown until today.

Unknown since it seems that this de Tomaso has been locked in a garage since 1976, obviously the only reason that comes to mind is that at the time the car had mechanical problems and the owner, instead of repairing it, forgot it.

Clearly it’s just a guess; the facts are that the car, born red with black interiors, and almost completely disassembled and seems to be 99% complete, including the Ford 302 engine and the five-speed ZF gearbox. The problem, however, does not concern the fact that the car is dismantled, but rather that it rusts a little everywhere that needs to be fixed. Find it for sale at $150,000 here in Northridge, CA.
