Among the Mexico built from 1966 to 1972, this one (chassis #112/1 064 belongs to the first series which had the bigger 4700 cc engine. No less, this car is said to be the Maserati Show car at the Geneva auto show in 1967.
The seller says that the papers from maserati say that this car was hown at geneva that year, then it was sold to the swiss Maserati importer in Chiasso (CH), so we are pretty sure of its history. Of course, being a show car, we guess that this car was fully loaded: it still has the valuable Borrani Record wire wheels.
The color combo is very elegant: blue with a red interior doesn’t ever pass unnoticed, especially on a big car as this is. Unfortunately the seller doesn’t say if this is a matching number car (maserati put the same number on chassis and engine) nor we can spot any number on the engine block.
