Silver spider: 1951 Simca 8 Convertibile

The seller says that this car is often unknown also by classic car experts but we believe that’s difficult because this is one of the prettiest car made during the fifties.

That’s a Simca 8 Convertible which had the aluminium body made by Facel Metallon on a chassis pushed by a 1100 c.c. four cylinder engine derived by the robust Fiat unit, so that’s quite easy to fix and to find the spare parts for.

The seller has clearly begun a proper restoration as the body as been stripped to bare metal which is now naked: the only primed parts are the door and the hood as they’re made of steel: the soft top chassis looks solid and the dashboard look complete. These are very beautiful cars when they are properly restored, so this is the right chance for the right enthusiast. Find it for sale at €32,000 (today $35,000) here in Misterbianco, Italy.
