We are pretty sure that the Karmann Ghia, particularly the early series, has been rated by the market as the new Porsche 356.
Indeed we’ve seen the quotations of these cars to increase substantially over the years: now a (almost) perfect car like this one is for sale regularly with an asking price higher than 30K.
We must say that, especially for the lowlight series, the black paint is perfect on these cars: it underlines the curved profile of the fenders and the roof and it’s striking when matched with a pale interior like this one. The seller says that the previous owner spent €55,000 to restore it in 2010: for sure that has been a labour of love as the owner should have known that he could never have recovered the cost if such restoration. We aren’t K-G experts but we like much what we see. Find it for sale at €33,950 (today $38,000) here in Waalwijk, The Netherlands.
