This particular (and, to us, very fascinating) cabriolet Called Zephyr Six (aka Mark I) was built by Ford UK from 1950 to 1956 and it was considered a full-size car.
Although it could seem a small car at a glance, it was equipped with a ohv, inline-six engine with a 2,200 cc displacement, producing 68 hp and with a top speed of 130 km/h. You could choose among several body styles: the cabriolet was built by Carbodies coachworks and was featured by a bricky shape with a tall side profile. Must say that this car has stance, really. It looks like a factory custom car.
This car is also said to have a power top, along with perfectly refined red leather interiors and a lot of care of detail. Indeed the seller says that the restoration alone costed in excess of £35,000 and, looking at those photos, such statement seems correct. This car also comes with the original Buff Log Book showing 2 owners from new plus Petrol coupons, the original Ford Motor Company brochure and owner’s manual. Find it for sale at £29,000 (today $49,000 or near offer) here in Sheffield, UK.
