Hen’s tooth: 1970 Innocenti 950 Coupé

ScreenShot007

We have seen many ads of Innocenti Spider for sale during the years, but this is the very first time we stumble across a Coupé. We don’t know the production numbers of this car but it’s easy to suppose that very few were built, and even less have survived so far.

This cars is based on the chassis and engine of the Austin Healey Sprite: it was designed by Tom Tjaarda’s for Ghia coachworks but it was actually built by OSI: the whole car was heavier than the Sprite but it was more stilish as well.

This particular car (which still carries the original black plate) is for sale by a private party who for sure doesn’t waste many words to describe it: he only says that the car has few original kilometers and that is very correct. We don’t know these cars so we can’t confirm the last statement, however nothing seems to be out of place and the whole car seems in very good conditions; the yellow shade dresses that body perfectly. Find it for sale at €11,000 (today $15,000) here in Sanremo, Italy.
