Few of these cars are still around so, even a BMW purist could forgive some modifications done on this particular CSL.
Two are the big change on this car: first, the original and rare Scheel sport seats have been replaced with a pair of more common, although FIA approved, french Oreca racing seats: this could be a minor defect as it could be not so difficult to find the original (or replica) seats. Then there is no more the original sport steering wheel, but it could be found on the market, even if it would be expensive.
The major defect (or improvement?) is the lack of the original engine, replaced with a 3.5L unit from a 535ì: more torque and power for sure, but this car will not be a matching number car anymore. The wheels are a bit too large for our taste but at least this is a FIA-approved car so it will be not a problem for the future owner who are going to go racing with this BMW.
