It’s not uncommon to see some barn finds but it’s quite rare to see a preserved car like this one. It’s a 1960 Impala hardtop which seems to be just carried out from a time-proof capsule.
The most astonishing detail of this car is of course the original plastic which still wraps both front and rear seats: it’s impressive to see it on a 64 years old car. According to what the seller says, there are only a couple of rust sposts on the whole car, while the trunk and the floors are said to be totally rustless.
The paint too is said to be mostly original and the engine bay looks like it hasn’t been open in 50 years; the seller adds that he replaced tires with new radials, valve cover gaskets, and had the tranny gone thru (new seals, gaskets, etc). This car is not cheap but for sure you don’t find another one like this so easily. Find it for sale at $20,500 here in Des Moines, IA.
