Payoff potential: 1962 Volkswagen Bus Samba

ScreenShot001

Till few, very few years ago, stating that restoring a rust bucket like this 23 windows bus could have a good potential payoff should have seemed at least crazy. Unfortunately now it has sense, as restored buses like this usually fetch six digits prices. Even if the Samba model is the rarest of them all, we absolutely think that such prices are madness but, you know, market rules.

The seller says that this bus is still with its original paint (???) and, although corroded, it seems straight and it has a good roof which, as you suppose, is the most delicate part to restore. Wheel wells are not cut or modified so, at least, you don’t have to bring them back to their original specifications. If you can invest time and money in a car restoration, today you could give yourself a rusty Christmas gift. Find it for sale at $25,000 here in Minneapolis, MN.
