This Alfa Romeo recreation is based on a 1950 6C 2500 engine and chassis, plus other period components. In our opinion this car should be a tribute to her famous relative, the 1938 8C 2900 Mille Miglia by Touring coachworks, although the front grille looks like the one installed on the 2300 Pescara.
The seller says that the car comes with many parts, like a complete SS Spec engine, three original (period?) Webers carburetors, floor shift gearbox, correct gauges and dash components, and all other parts collected for over the past 10 years just for this project.
Must say that the bodywork seems very refined and with beautiful proportions. Even seats have patina which never disturbs on such recreation. We generally don’t like replicas but there’s always an exception for every matter and this is the case. Find it for sale here in Surrey, UK, with bidding at $18,000 and reserve not met.
