This 1958 Alfa Romeo 2000 spider (chassis #32) is said to be one of only 63 made in 1958, the first year of production of this model. It’s clearly a car that needs a full restoration but it’s however a good basis for the job.
The seller says that this car misses the front grille parts and eyebrows, air filter housing, base for rear view mirrow, and trunk lid emblem. With the exception of front grille, the other parts are quite easy to find. The metal is not so bad: rust is Alfa’s kryptonite but this particular car has not paid a big due to it. Another good thing is the presence of the soft top chassis, almost impossible to find if missing.
Interiors seem complete and absolutely in better conditions than you’d think watching the car from outside. As usual, if the price doesn’t rise much (we suppose not more than 15k) this game has sense. Find it for sale here in Turner, OR, with bidding under $10,000 and reserve not met.
