Hot wallet: 1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider by Touring

If this car had been abandoned for the same number of years further northeast in the USA, there would probably be little to see now.

That is, there would be a mass of rusted sheet metal that would probably have remotely resembled the car it once was, fortunately this car has it – although it needs a lot, a lot of work in many respects, it still looks in one piece, and this that is no small thing, considering that it is an Alfa from the 1960s characterized by a steel that is not exactly solid.

As already mentioned, there isn’t a corner of the car that doesn’t need to be replaced or fixed, but starting from a car that hasn’t nearly folded in two due to rust is already an acceptable starting point. However, here there is a bit of work for everyone: spare parts dealers, coachbuilders, mechanics and chromers, but it is also true that among the Touring spiders, the 2000 is even more beautiful than the big sister 2600, despite the six-cylinder engine of this last. Find it for sale here in Austin, TX, with a B.I.N. price of $24,000.
