This white spider is a Veloce, type 750 F, swb: in short, the most sought after of its kind.
Externally it is in fact almost indistinguishable from the sister equipped with the less powerful engine but the difference lies, in fact, under the bonnet, as well as for other small details like the rev counter which has a different red zone and the speedometer with scale up to 220 km / h (for the European version).
This Spider in particular (chassis #1495*05183, engine #1315*31922) is part – as the seller says – of a collection of 65 cars by their team recently discovered, and it seems to have benefited from a restoration in the mid-90s: a restoration certainly not excellent, as evidenced by the vinyl soft top, the wrong stitching of the seats and those shiny tubes inside the engine bay, however we see that the DCO3 carburetors are there (lately we have seen a pair for sale at $8,000), and this is certainly a good starting point: we guess that this car, after a set-up, could be driven as it is. Find it for sale here in Bellingham, MA, with bidding at $45,000 and reserve not met.
This Veloce was on Craigslist 3 years ago. I have it listed in the 750F Veloce Register with photos Nice to see the car is in great condition.
