Patina monster/3: 1960 Porsche 356 B T5 Cabriolet

p1

Exactly six years ago, on February 25, 2013, we published an article titled “Patina monster”: that time it was a Volkswagen Beetle while this time it’s her cousin.

p2

It’s a Porsche 356 Cabriolet from 1960: once I had the same color even in the color but it was much worse than this which has instead a beautiful patina and, at least from what the seller says, is extremely dry and free of rust.

p4

We can not say with certainty if what we see is the original paint but it is certain that it must be very old, it seems that there is ancra the Ooriginal undercoating, all original sheetmetal and a nice original interior. Unfortunately, the engine is not original because it seems that the first owner wanted to replace it with a more powerful engine than a 356 C and we can understand that since there was no fever of the “matching numbers”. Last but not least, the car also has the hardtop. Find it for sale at $ 100,000 here in Boise, ID.
