Morgan, in the mind of all the classic cars nuts, means “tradition”, however not many know that Morgan too tried to evolve during the sixties.
This attempt produced the the Plus 4 Plus, a two seater “berlinetta” which should have changed the course of the Morgan production: a fiberglass body with a design that was meant to stay away from the old fashioned cars built so far. The result was not what they expected: only 26 cars made.
This particular car (chassis #A5558) is near to concourse conditions: a striking black/red paint on red and perfectly detailed. The seller says that this is the fifth car prduced and, as you’ve already seen, it is a LHD car: this because the first owner was G.B. Sterne, a known Morgan enthusiast from Canada. Find it for sale at €189,000 (today $234,000) here in Castricum, Netherlands.
