Back to life: 1964 Sunbeam Tiger

t4

This Sunbeam Tiger is, for the uninitiated, a little british roadster pushed by an american V8: basically what you see is not what you hear.

The seller says that this is a true survivor as it has been stored since the ’70s but only recently it has been brough back to life: now it has a bigger 289 c.i. ford engine under the hood but he says that the car comes with its matching numbers 260 c.i. engine.

The actual engine has also some special parts like an Edelbrock intake and a period correct Ansen scattershield. The overall look is good: interiors look nice as well as the engine bay which is not very clean but it has a correct look. Rust is a problem on these cars and we can’t see the most delicate parts of the body like the floor and the rockers but we suppose that the seller will provide additional photos upon request. ind it for sale at $40,000 here in Groton, CT.
