This early 356 Coupé is clearly under intervention since, at least, 8 years as the photos say, it seems that it was purchased with the intention to restore it in the owner’s garage but, as usually happens in these cases, time and patience are not enough to finish the job.

The seller says that the car is complete also with the engine which is not original: it belonged to a 1955 Speedster and it’s 1500 Super: that’s not bad at all as it is a rare engine and it could be easily exchanged with a correct unit for this car.

Many metal sheets have been replaced like the sills and the battery tray area; we believe that the job is still not enough and that thee are for sure many other areas of the body which need to be fixed, however the car doesn’t seem a rust bucket but a quite solid specimen.
