The 124 Sport Spider was, without any doubt, one of the best cars produced by Fiat (when it was able to make something more than utility cars) and, nonetheless, one of the most beautiful.
The lines sketched by Tom Tjaarda and made solid by Pinifarina coachworks are really elegant and balanced: it would be very difficult, even now, to find anything to correct about them. It was also quite successful with the Abarth version but this one had the bad luck to find the Stratos on its way. The Sport Spider was one of the favourite by the young generation of the upper middle class, but it was sold mostly with the 1400 and 1600 cc engines, few were made with the mighty 1800 cc, and this is one of those.
The car has clearly been disassembled to have a proper paint job; the interiors look nice and probably they are actually good even if seen in flesh; of course a disassembled car is always an issue as you can’t realize what do you need until you’re putting back togheter the puzzle, but it seems that the car has not been fully disassembled, so the missing parts are few for sure.
