Rust to sell: 1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider by Touring

The seller of this car says that he has put a low reserve to sell the car: that’s a good point as the remaining metal on this car is very few.

ScreenShot005For sure that’s a car leaved many years (for sure more than ten) exposed to the elements that have made it their victim. It looks like the typical car coming from the “rust belt” so, basically, you’re bidding on a chassis number, a 2600cc inline-six engine and a five speed transmission.

ScreenShot004The seller says also that the good of this car is the matching engine: he’s partially right but unfortunately the biggest slice of a restoration cost is destined to the body work, the engine rebuild cost is generally no more than 10/15 percent of the whole budgetoration like this. However, fact is that this project could be interesting for who is already skilled on metalwork: it could get years to complete but in the end it still is a great car. Find it for sale here in Miami, FL, with bidding at $1,800 and reserve not met.
